The owner wanted every window in a tenanted office building replaced, without moving the tenants out.
Harrow Glazing Project Overview
We replaced over 100 single glazed aluminium windows with double glazed aluminium systems on an office building in Harrow. The building stayed occupied throughout, with the work phased floor by floor.
Once each window was in, our team made good the opening from the inside, plastering and painting so every office was left finished.
Our project manager coordinated the window subcontractor, the scaffolding team and our own making good team, and liaised with each tenant to keep every floor on schedule.

Replacing Over 100 Windows in an Occupied Office
You cannot leave an opening in an occupied office. Each window was taken out and its replacement fitted in the same session, and the work was phased floor by floor so each tenant was disrupted once.
Scaffolding went round the whole building, while the car park and entrances stayed open to tenants at all times. With over 100 units, every one had to be fitted, sealed and made good to the same standard, and the offices cleaned up as we went.

- The window specification needed planning approval before materials could be ordered. We submitted early and it was approved without issue.
- Building Control
- The window replacement was inspected and signed off by building control on completion.

Over 100 single glazed windows replaced with double glazed aluminium systems, and a refreshed exterior, with tenants working in the building the whole time. Inside, we carried out redecoration works alongside the installation.
