The client wanted a warm, rustic café with natural materials, two serving bars and enough seating to make a compact unit pay.

A full café refurbishment and fit out in Dalston. We reconfigured the interior, formed front and back bars, and built the joinery, M&E, HVAC, fire safety works and epoxy resin flooring throughout.

Fitting Two Bars Into a Compact Dalston Café
Two bars in a compact café is a lot of joinery in a small space, and both needed sinks, drainage, grease traps, power for fridges and tills, and real counter space to serve from.
The oven had to connect to the existing ducting, which fixed where the kitchen equipment could go. That set the back bar position, which set the plumbing runs, which set the grease traps. In a unit this size, every decision had a knock on effect, so the layout was settled before anything was built.

The bars, display units, shelving, seating and counters were made by Yasmeen Joinery in Park Royal to the exact dimensions of the final layout.

The café is open and trading, with the rustic interior the client wanted and every system it needs to operate and comply: grease traps, HVAC, CCTV, alarm, fire rated doors and emergency lighting.
Handed over in March 2026.
